Things To Do

• Change clothes in a moving vechile
• Dance barefoot in the pouring rain
• Try on a boy's boxers
Improve my dreadful Spanish
Get my screwed up sleeping pattern back on track, because going to sleep at five in the morning can't be good for me
Stop making fun of boys and the hard time they have through puberty
• Refrain from procrastinating
Relive the thrill of kissing, ideally whilst in a relationship
• Stay awake and focused in lessons more
Stop bitching about certain people, even if they deserve to be bitched about
Spend less time online, for the sake of my already poor eyesight and my sanity
Buy tighter skinny jeans which don't fall down and reveal aspects of me that should not be revealed
Get more clued up on slang
• Get more clued up on general things that I should already know

Disclaimer

Distant Illumination is my personal site, so I don't expect anyone to steal any information from it, especially not my blog. Now that would be quite pathetic. Apart from that, full credit is given to those who deserve it, and I claim nothing that's not my own. Pretty much all there is to say really, as this isn't a celebrity fan site and I'm a regular girl.

People

Now, everyone mentioned here truly did deserve their own page. Without them, I would not be where I am today in terms of designing/maintaining sites!

Annie: I will be forever grateful to this girl. She was my first ever proper host, and she was the one who made the time and effort to teach me FTP and start me off in the right direction of making fan sites. At the time, no other host was willing to take in an amateur who didn't know the first thing about FTP. However, Annie did. And I really mean when I say that without her, I would not have any of the sites I have today!

Jayde: Now she is amazing (and friendly and funny) in many ways! She has some brilliant tutorials on her site, which helped me out of using frames and HTML for my fan sites, especially since layout changes took an eternity. With her help, I learned PHP and how to use CSS headers, and my sites look so much better now. Honestly, I shudder when I think back to how all my old my old sites used to look before I learned PHP...

Natasha: A friendly, funny, and helpful woman, and a reliable and perfect host all combines into one seriously cool person. I have proudly been her hostee with almost all my sites for a couple of years, and she remains my favourite host! My sites have had trouble over the years like many, and she was always there to help without a moment's delay, and is always welcoming when I decide to host a new site with her.

Steff: I don't even know where to begin with Steff! She is such an amazing help to me, and my Leah Pipes site was saved because of her! She helps me with loads of other site-related stuff, even though she really doesn't have to. Aside site stuff, I rely on her for honest opinions on various things, and she's fun in general to talk to over MSN!

Programs

I often get people ask me what programs I use, so this is a list of the software that helps me manage my sites.

• Paint Shop Pro 7 (where pretty much all my graphics are made)
• Microsoft Paint (I find that it can actually be useful for a few things)
• YouTube Downloader (as the name says, and also converts various file formats)
• VLC Media Player (plays my videos, makes my screen captures)
• FileRenamer (batch-renames hundreds of files in seconds)

Resources

To make good graphics, one needs good brushes, textures, and whatnot. Here are links to the sites I have used the most when designing one of my sites!

Swim Chick, who design some gorgeous brushes and make my designs all the more appealing!
Deadly Nightshade, whose textures never cease to amaze me
Celestial Star, where I always find an amaing selection of brushes and textures, and I especially like to work with their icon textures
Misty Dreams which is Jayde's site, which I enjoy looking at for tutorials, checklists, resources, and she makes nice brushes (plus, I do like reading her blogs)
